A partial rate of $35 is currently being charged to all normal residential users in the District. This is being collected as required by the funding agency to in order to pay principle and interest on the USDA Rural Development construction loan.
Construction of the sewage collection system and the treatment plant is progressing very well and completion is anticipated in January or February 2012. At the time of completion, we will move into the Connection and Operation phase of the project and the full rate will apply. Normal residential users will see their bill go to $55.02 when we transition to this phase.
